The Cuban National Health System Biorisk Management Programme

The Cuban National Health (MINSAP) is willing to offer, at the request of any State Party to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BWC):
1. Training of human resources in the different aspects related to biosafety, including training of Inspectors and risk assessors in health institutions.
2. Advice and technical assistance in the biosafety requirements to be met in health facilities for the proper management of biological risk.
3. Qualified specialists in the areas of biological risks and work with pathogenic microorganisms for peaceful purposes, willing to cooperate on behalf of Cuba with other States Parties to the Convention that request it in the creation of capacities to respond in biological and serious emergencies epidemics.
4. The sending of Medical Brigades of the Internationalist contingent of Doctors Specialized in dealing with disasters and major Epidemics, Henry Reeve, at the request of other Past States of the Convention.
