This course is designed to improve professional competencies in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with the combined pathology of tuberculosis and HIV infection.
The curriculum covers: epidemiology and pathogenesis of HIV and tuberculosis coinfection; methods and algorithm for diagnosing HIV/TB coinfection; opportunistic infections in HIV-associated tuberculosis; tuberculosis and HIV coinfection in children; key approaches to treating HIV/TB coinfection. This course is prepared to diagnose and treat patients with tuberculosis and HIV coinfection.
