BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:
The United States places great importance on meaningfully strengthening the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and values the tools already available to States Parties to help bolster its implementation. The annual report on Confidence Building Measures (CBM) is one such tool. The United States wishes to offer to share our practical experiences in the preparation of CBMs and to assist other State Parties that are seeking to submit their report for the first time, to enhance the quality of the information in their CBM reports, or to facilitate greater interagency coordination and cooperation in gathering the information needed to generate CBM reports.
TYPE OF ASSISTANCE:
The United States is prepared to offer our assistance on a formal or informal bilateral basis. Such advice and assistance would be offered virtually, via many of the video conferences platforms available, and conducted in English.
